Some time back I did a post on Natur Vital Henna Shampoo. I promised to buy the conditioner and give a review but unfortunately I couldn't find one so I bought the hair mask and decided to give it a try. Like I said in the other post , this product was recommended by my friends who have permed hair. They have nothing but praise for it. So lets proceed with the review from a natural 4a/b/c head.
Claims
- Nourishes and adds shine.
- In 5 minutes the mask restructures and softens the hair.
- Leaves hair moisturized and shiny with a touch of color that revives the hair's natural look.
- Natural or dyed hair.
Ingredients
To get the best results, I washed my hair with Natur Vital Heena Shampoo-which I love by the way-and then applied the hair mask.
The hair mask is very thick. This makes application very easy on 4a/b/c hair. I used a wide tooth comb to detangle after application and the product was as good as a conditioner is for detangling. Detangling after application helped to evenly distribute the hair mask through my hair.
I left it on a bit over the required time and then rinsed it off. The mask left my hair really soft and shiny. It felt well moisturized and I could run my hands through my hair without a conditioner in it. It was that good.

The downside is that it can stain your finger nails. So I advice you use rubber gloves before applying. Be very careful as it can leave stains on your bathroom wall. Not to worry, the stains comes off easily.
Before ending this post I must add that ever since I found Natur Vital henna shampoo, I have stopped using other shampoos apart from Dudu Osun black soap to wash my hair. After washing my hair with other shampoos I must use a conditioner before I can attempt detangling. But with Natur Vital shampoo, my hair is soft enough to go without a leave in conditioner.

Will I buy this product again?
YES!! I'm thinking of getting the black hair mask....or maybe the red... fortunately the color effect gradually fades after 3-4 washes. So yes I'll continue to use it for as long as I get good results.
Ooooh, tempting. I haven't tried any henna yet, but I've been thinking about maybe a dash of color lately. I always just walk past this brand in the store without giving it a second look. Good to know!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any before and after photos of your hair?
I will get some and send to you. But you can compare using these links

The color comes out more the longer you use it. I left it on for about 10 to 15 mins the first time and the color was not as intense. The second time, I left it on for a longer period and I could really see the deep brown color. I love it cause it doesn't really dye the hair but kind of coats the hair with color. Like someone will see my hair and say it is really black and sometimes it will look brown.
As for henna you could try asking someone in the north to get some for you. It is locally produced and sold in village markets.
Much love!!
I see the difference now. Definitely more of a sheen now. By the way, you've got beautiful hair!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I can definitely see a difference; you've got lots more sheen now. I've always preferred temporary color too and some of them nourish your hair instead of stripping it. I've probably used permanent color once in my whole life.
ReplyDeleteYep, henna's on my to-do list now. I'm going to see if my aunt in Abuja can get me some henna. She used to stain her nails with it instead of using polish.
By the way, your hair's gorgeous, girl.
Thank You!!:)
