Frolove: Funmi Iyanda

Television talk show host and journalist Funmi Iyanda has been an inspiration to a lot of Nigerian woman and she has done it again...
I Love her new look. She looks much younger!
What do you think people?

Hair Inspiration: Nse Ikpe Etim's Deedee (French Braids)

If I were to wear my hair out like this, my friends might  deny me. Its great to see Nigerian celebrities like Nse wearing their natural hair and showing Nigerians just how beautiful we can look in the  'mama-Iyabo' styles that we have forsaken over time.

Inspiration: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

"The single story creates stereotypes, and the problem with stereotypes is not that they are untrue, but they are incomplete. They make one story become the only story."

Picture of the day

Beautiful pictures of Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade. Today's hair inspiration  is her cute little daughter. Can someone please hook us up with her stylist!
I'm really proud of Omotola for letting her baby stay natural in these days when some Nigerian mothers  put relaxers in  their daughters hair when they are as little as 3... 0_o

Trad. Fridays being posted on Saturday is as a result of the bomb blast which occurred on Friday the 26th day of August 2011,in Abuja the capital city of Nigeria. My prayers go to the families of those who lost their lives. I pray that God bless the children of  these families with the ability to overcome the feelings of fear, insecurity and hate which might crop up in this trying time. Amen!

Kween Onokala
